WETI is a non-profit organization that serves women, youth and others in the community with services in the educational, training, mentoring, volunteer services area in the Houston and surrounding areas.  WETI is about people…I thankful I get to serve people on behalf of WETI. WETI has blessed my life, family and many, many, friends and associates throughout the country. I look forward to supporting WETI in its mission. I am happy WETI has a website to help showcase the activities and projects WETI undertakes. Let’s continue to donate our time and talents to helping WETI serve others.

Becoming a member of WETI has impacted my life and the lives of others tremendously.  Once you join the WETI family, you can expect to experience an abundance of goodwill, care and empowerment.   Not only will you provide this to the community, but there is a snowball effect within your own life that blesses you and everyone around you.  WETI has allowed me to bless community youth by serving as a volunteer at WETI college readiness and scholarship events.  One of my younger sisters has benefited by applying and receiving a WETI scholarship.  In addition to allowing me to aide others, WETI establishes genuine relationships with each member and empowers each of us by providing encouragement and support whenever needed.

It is a blessing to be a member of the Women Empowerment Training Institute (W.E.T.I.) Organization!  One of my grandchildren received a scholarship, others have been blessed with educational gifts and one has been blessed with a gift of love during their time of illness.  In times of sickness and death, W.E.T.I. has always been there to support the member.  This organization has and is continuing to make a different in the lives of others by… giving scholarships and/or educational gifts to students, providing support to the Covenant House for Young Adults, providing support to sr. citizens 50 years and older, helping persons who have been affected by floods and tornadoes, making and distributing masks for persons during COVID-19 epidemic, etc. 

“Thank You” for affording me the opportunity to be a member of W.E.T.I.  I look forward to the organization “making a difference in the lives of others” by continuing to do all it can, in all the ways it can, for all the people it can, for as long as it can!

Hello to Mrs. Paralee Shivers, our President and to all our loving and caring members of the organization.  First, I would like to thank all for your supporting me in my business, In these critical times of COVID-19 pandemic. WETI members have become customers, you have been the wind beneath my wings. You are a strong Pillar in the community, and many other places. The training that is offered to the children is so incredible, its scholarships enabled my granddaughter’s entrance to college. My grandson was blessed with funds by WETI in order to be able to participate in the Band and a trip to Hawaii and school supplies. My daughter is also a product of WETI'S support for many worthwhile causes during her HS and College years. Today she is an RN and first responder in Aurora, Colorado being a part of the solution to our hurting people, Thanks again WETI You are the heartbeat of people in many places.

I dare not mention the sick and the shut in, the Hospitalized, the many cards and flowers for the grief of our love ones before and during Covid19 that WETI was able to provide. We are so grateful for the numerous amounts of masks that were made and dispersed in the Houston community and out of town. We were so elated to be able to serve so many in need and still are pleased to do so. One of the fun things that really touched our hearts and gave us much joy was to make sundresses for the girls of Haiti last summer - 2020. Thanks, WETI for doing for others and are gaining much knowledge joy and gratification as our receivers we all win.

The WETI organization, a vision given by God to Paralee Shivers (President/CEO), has been without a doubt, blessings upon blessings for so many lives, but to me it has been an avenue, channel, and platform personally, spiritually, financially in my time of need! The prayers, love, and encouragement in action has been genuinely uplifting, whereby I with joy, have been able to pass on the same to others by being a part of such a great organization which I am grateful and thankful for!  GLORY TO GOD for WETI!!

WETI has made a way for me and my family. Changing my way of knowing how to really appreciate the little things I took for granted. Blessing others when they did not expect it. Thanks Sister Shivers for introducing me to WETI and making me a member. 

I was welcomed to the WETI Organization in 2019 and have remained family ever since. I am the first in my family to attend college and continue to still be enrolled as I expand my knowledge and skills. As a young Hispanic woman, there is much pressure in prioritizing everything else before one’s self education. Often times this leads to women being stuck in a shell and not fully reaching their full potential. This was my case at the time before I was first reached out by the WETI Founder, Paralee Shivers. Soon as I joined WETI, I became inspired to continue my college career. I was awarded a scholarship that very year! In addition to the scholarship, I gained a support system through the organization. The support and the trust I felt, empowered me as a young woman to strive for success and happiness, even in today’s society. I have built character and skills through mentoring, self-development, education enhancement, communication, and physical/ mental health awareness. This character representation has served as an example to my family, especially my younger brothers. They have witnessed the impact and feel they are part of the process. As a member of the WETI Family, I have learned and can attest to seeing the difference an empowered woman can make in the community, city, state, and even nationwide. 

Thank you WETI, because of this great organization I have come out of my shell prepared to spread my wings and fly.

My testimonial is that WETI has instilled in me and my family how great it is to help people the feeling and the rewards you get from doing it the outcome of the project of seeing people appreciate what your works stand for in them. My grand and my daughter from helping out as little girls, they feel that volunteering is great works so they both love to donate their time to events or organizations and, in this pandemic, we are in right now they have been able to help. I feel being a part of this great WETI program watching and leading with the person with this great vision has really pushed me as a person to really help also if has not been for Paralee Shivers plans and vision I would not have had the vision for a drive at my school that is has bloom and bloom for the last 7 years. So, I thank God for his gift on putting this guiding light in my family life and my life, Thank you Paralee Shivers. God has put you in me and my family life and we all love you for it you are a true giver and a true believer, and you are the best leader for everyone.

I am so thankful for WETI! When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, WETI brought me dinners. They made masks for me and for my church members. They prayed for my healing. I am so thankful for the WETI organization. They bombarded heaven on my behalf. Because of the prayer warriors and God’s favor on my life, I have been healed of breast cancer. God has called WETI to mission work and that what they do! They are always seeking ways to help others. I pray God will continue to allow WETI to and exemplify the love of Jesus Christ! Be Blessed!

WETI has provided a way for me to give back, connect with others, and make a difference in my community.  I have been a part of the organization for many years, and I have seen the difference it has made in my life and others’ lives.  I grow with each idea and every event WETI hosts as a member.  I am inspired and motivated to do more each year because I am surrounded by women who believe, accept and understand the power of empowering others through being of service.

The Women Empowerment Training Institute has been a verifiable blessing to my family and me!  Their commitment to enriching the lives of as many people possible rings true in every act of kindness rendered to everyone they encounter.

My personal family has been helped several times over!  Each of our five children have been granted college scholarship funds that have assisted with the purchase of books and computers.  Additionally, my husband pastors a church in the local area, and WETI has partnered with us over the past several years as we bring inspiration, hope, and school supplies to the children of our church as well as children in the community.  Finally, WETI has invested in the ministry of FTHCM of Houston as we build families through hope, help, and healing.

Thank you WETI for every act of support towards our family's education and towards every community endeavor we have embarked upon!  We are, I am, eternally grateful!
